Programme: 26 Weeks
Materials: Masonry and Stonework repairs
The lead covered roof to Cranmer’s Tower needed replacing due to the inevitable failure of the existing material.
Rebuilding decorative brickwork is never easy let alone at the top of the tower.
The Tudor brickwork on Cranmer’s Tower, together with stone quoins and window surrounds, were also replaced by The CEL Group.
Along with the re-pointing of brick and stone joints, stainless steel anchors were needed to stabilise the structure. The CEL Group’s services were also commissioned to rebuild parts of the palace boundary wall.
