When Stormont Castle, the powerhouse of Irish reform, needed a new lease of life for the next 100 years, The CEL Group was called in for the restoration..
Possibly one of the most decorative lead projects undertaken in one go by any leadwork company

Redesigned in 1858 by Thomas Turner, this restoration project of the building known locally as “Storm Mount” required 220 tons of milled lead sheet, installed over a three-year period.
Work included the 9-metre high decorative turrets and cupolas, along with the lead gutters and flat roofs. A mixture of modern and traditional lead systems gave this original powerhouse of Irish reform a new lease of life for the next 100 years, while retaining the essence of its last major refurbishment.
